Getting used to life in The City of Shadows hasn’t been an easy process. As if the interplay of factions in the Shadow community weren’t tricky enough, the addition of four different countries and a bloody great dragon have kept you on the edge of your seat. There’s also that matter of adjusting to the thin air up here. It’s made your unplanned transition a little rocky, but things are starting to settle down. You’ve secured a place, and you’ve sent out a few feelers concerning your “line of work.”

This afternoon, it looks like those feelers have started to pay off. A few minutes ago (roughly 2 p.m.), you received a call from somebody who’s on the fast track to being your best buddy ever. He called about a job. The meeting is at 4:30 at Denim, a nightclub in the Pueblo Corporate Council sector. There was an offhand mention that the Johnson was looking for “shiny new faces” who might act as neutral parties. You are informed that it would be best if you arrived for the meet ready to 'run...

With both Sh4k4Br4h and TD at the meet, they decide to introduce each other while they wait for the rest of the team to show as the Johnson doesn't seem prepared to present the 'run's parameters until everyone is present.

TD: "G'day, I'm Tommy Davidson"

Sh4k4br4h: *gives shaka sign* "howzit brah?"

TD: "Bloody good mate. Ya Self? I didn't catch ya name mate?"

Sh4k4br4h: "No can complain, name's Sh4k4br4h, or sh4ka if no like da full ting"

TD: "Ok sh4k4, you can call me TD. what about's is it you do mate?"

Sh4k4br4h: "Me? Eh, I ken do many tings brah. But like any menehune, like penny kine surf. Jus like surf diffrent place." *winks*

TD: "He, I think I get ya meaning mate."

Sh4k4br4h: "Eh, what bout chu brah, watchu do?"

TD: "I'm in the export/import business mate. I can also drive and fix anything."

Sh4k4br4h: "Shoots brah."

TD: "I'm sorry mate, what was that?"

Sh4k4br4h: "Shoots. Shoots. Wat, nevah hear da kine pidgen befoh?"

TD: "Not really mate."

Sh4k4br4h: "Friggen haoles, no need be akamai *taps head*, jus listen!"

TD: "Mate, I Got no idea what your saying."

Sh4k4br4h: "Cunfunnit . . .dis going be one major steppin' stone cuz."

TD: "So Sh4k4, you live around here?"

TD's commlink suddenly begins to spam streamed feeds from literally millions of Matrix based translation nodes before it completely shuts down and begins to reboot itself, finally coming back on with the top 3 nodes favorited in the cache. TD moans as his comm reboots, pulls it out and looks at the screen.

TD: "Damn thing. I hate these things." *shuts down the link and puts it away*

Sh4k4br4h rolls his eyes as TD pockets the link

Sh4k4br4h: "Yah brah get one place down by Englewood."

TD: "He, I just got into town, still kind of looking for a place."

Sh4k4br4h: Shoots, need to get you aquanted den."

TD: "That'd be good mate. Do you know of any good pubs?"

Sh4k4br4h proceeds to give a spiel of directions that has you going to upper downtown Denver and leads you into the nightclub district.

TD: "Err, Thanks. Any Idea what this job might be?"

Sh4k4br4h: "Job huh? Tought dis jus for da free beer?"

TD: "He, I've tried what you fellas call 'beer'. I wouldn't drink it if you paid me."

Sh4k4br4h: "Shoots, mo for me den." *shrugs*

TD pulls his commlink back out, switches it on, and proceeds to begin playing some Matrix games.

A third party enters the room, dressed in full body armor and a British style Great coat, and quietly takes a seat facing the Masked man behind the brazier.

Now that everyone's here, he will introduce himself as Mr. Johnson in a slow and methodical voice with a slight southwestern twang. Of distinguishing characteristics, the only other things noticeable are the fact that he's dressed in traditional Native garb, has short hair turned grey, and physically appears short and skinny. He thanks the team for coming, and then quickly gets down to business.

The ‘run is a short and hopefully easy courier job. Mr. Johnson will explain that his fellows have a small package that needs to be delivered to a friend. The package must be delivered in strict confidence. He has every reason to believe that some people would not like to see the package arrive safely. Because of that, suitable precautions will need to be taken. The delivery is in the FRFZ, but the ‘runners will need to cross over into the UCAS, which means at least two border crossings. First crossing from Pueblo into the CAS and then from there into the UCAS.

The package must arrive no later than 7:00 tonight.

Compensation will be provided half now and half by the recipient. The job pays 3000¥ per ‘runner. He asks for all of the ‘runners to agree before continuing.

"Ok, I'm in."

Turns to his fellow runners, "I think My car would be best for this, unfortunately, I left it back at my place. I just got my bike here tonight."

Once you're all agreed, Mr. Johnson explains that the package is a hardcopy letter from the Koshari leadership council. It is to be delivered to 4923 Billings St. in the Montbello District of the UCAS.

He then hands you a letter sized manila envelope. The envelope is marked CONFIDENTIAL in large red letters. The seal, is readily recognizable as one intended to be “tamper proof.”

"Do any of you have any further questions before the final information is released?"

The Koshari Johnson turns to TD.

"There are several organizations, both governmental and private concerns, that might object to the contents of the package. We prefer to ensure that matters are not left to chance, as it were, and so therefore you were contacted to act as representative couriers for the Koshari Council."

"Both my organization and the intended recipients have agreed to use neutral parties for this transaction. You three were identified as acceptable couriers by both parties because you are all relative unknowns in the Denver shadows."

The Johnson chuckles behind his mask...

"Mr. Davidson, just how much is peace of mind really worth? If you feel that we have made a grievous error in overestimating your abilities, and by extension, the compensation for such then please let us know now so that preparations can be made to find others better...suited...for the task at hand."

'I have no problem with courier duty, as long as the price is good, I am however intrigued as to what the contents of the package details for an above average price to be given? is there anything that you might have ommitted to tell us about the route and other possible interests?'

"That, Mr. Omega, is exactly what we are paying you for. I, and the faction that I represent, were led to believe that this particular team's emphasis on transportation and infiltration were sufficient to be able to handle any potential unforeseen 'issues'."

"As far as the contents of the package are concerned, I would like to believe that the label that is clearly affixed to the package would lead you to consider that the contents were meant to remain that way..."

'Mr Johnson, when a package is best kept sealed it suggests to me that either it's secret documents or it's something that's either going to make a lot of mess or leave bodies behind, I don't want to put myself and my fellow runners at risk from the package itself, grunts and security officials I can deal with, a bomb sitting on my back seat, I can't'
