This is just a little something for the ladies out there to think about before they turn their noses up at the geek in the corner. There is probably more to him than meets the eye.



1.) Geeks are awkward and usually painfully shy but 99% of the time they’re well-meaning and honest. The smooth dude with the slick "I'm so cool" attitude and the octopus hands? No secret what He's thinking about.

2.) Mr. slick is real quick to say "Yeah baby, I'll call you." and then never bother. When a geek says he'll call, you can bet he's got a note somewhere to remind him and unless he gets REALLY involved in a game or chasing a bug in a program, he'll call and he might STILL set an alarm just in case that happens. Not only that, once he gets the idea that it's ok, he's very likely to call when you don't expect it.

3.) Geeks are very useful these days. When your computer decides not to cooperate, odds are he can get it working again or knows somebody who can. He's also handy for learning how to install and use the odd new program and take care of most things that are powered by electricity.

4.) Because they're overlooked by most women, there are plenty of unattached geeks to choose from and they come in every size and shape.

5.) Most are quite good at remembering dates. Like birth dates and such, especially if they know it’ll make you happy. They’re more attentive than the Mr. Slicks who “have more options”.

6.) They’re usually low-maintenance. Pizza, Cheetos and Coke. You don't have to go all out with complicated dinners needed (though they'll appreciate it), if you can you order a pizza and watch a science fiction movie, you're set for a date.

7.) Odds are high that he's in a bar as often as slugs go to salt mines. You won’t have to worry much about your geek getting his “groove” on with club hotties because he’ll be too busy working on his computer or writing that new program.

8.) You don’t have to worry about a geek flirting with other women because aside from being shy 9 out of 10 times he’ll go right past them in a straight line to the nearest electronics store. If another woman hits on him, he's liable to not even realize it until you tell him.

9.) His friends aren’t jerks. Remember, they’re awkward geeks too and will almost always treat you with respect. They'll probably be in awe of the fact that you've chosen to be with him over some Mr. Slick.

10.) He'll actually give a damn about you. Not just how you look (though they ARE impressed.) or how much make-up you use or anything else. They like you for you.

I gonna have to give a shout for the geeks on this one. Wooo Yeah!!! That makes me feel a little better about spending so much time with my comp lol.

And yet...I never get to talk to you online anymore. *pouts*
