It's (in my opinion) just a big gimmick and also strongly inferior to the competition for it's status as a 'next gen' system. Perhaps if they got some decent 3rd party developers on board and got away from the silly kid games it might rise a bit in my estimation, but then only just...

well i was under the belief it wasn't a 'next gen' system. and some of those games can be fun. thats mostly the party games.

True enough on the fun aspect, but I still feel that the system seems to be focused far too much on that particular genre and could really stand to benefit from a bit more variety in the stable, so to speak. Also, I might just be an old crusty gamer on this one, but I feel (quite strongly in fact) that EVERY Wii title should have the option to be played with a normal controller setup. The hand waving and such just irritates me (and yes I have played one) and I would like to at least have the *option* to do without that on ALL games. Note the 'all', since some of the devs have in fact included this feature...just not enough of them in my opinion.

On another note...

When the heck is someone else going to post in here?????
